Manufacturing of bearing

Bearing is the most significant element inside any machine. It is literally mechanical parts of any machine. There are no alternative components that can be used instead of bearing. Most of the bearings are made from steel. However, Special types of plastics & ceramic materials are also used to make the exceptional type of bearing. The common question is why is it necessary to utilize bearing inside machinery. Tropically it is used to protect against corrosion due to rotation. Most of the machines are made based on either rotational or back-forth type movement. Therefore, Every machine inside has plenty of machine parts movement. By this movement, a machine can do some particular task efficiently. Indeed, good bearing quality can give a long life to any machine. Therefore the quality issue is main concern to use of bearing in manufacturing industries. Various standards of the bearing are made by many bearing manufacturer companies such as SKF, NSK NTN, TIMKEN, KOYO, FAG etc. Among those, SKF bearing is the more popular in the whole world. Because these company products are available in the shop as well as convenient of price. The quality of the SKF bearing is also comparatively average than other companies’ same products. Though many types of bearing are available in the market, the manufacturing process of the bearing is not easy. Different types of metal alloy are melted to produce good quality bearing. The automated casting process makes a standard size of bearing. After manufacturing of bearing, the QC team conducts different types of testing to ensure its grade. They apply destructive and non-destructive tests after collecting random samples. The bearing sample which one is used for the destructive test, can not be used this again in any machine. That means the sample gets fully damaged. On the other hand, the bearing sample which one is utilized for the non-destructive test can be used in any machine. Depending on the standard, the same dimension of bearing price can be changed. The other reasons for price variation are dollar rate, country import tax, transportation cost, manufacturing countries, quality of materials etc.
